[ hello! gale has been restored to proper wizardry and looks a good deal more comfortable. then again, he has real shoes now that leeches have a harder time getting through.

Oh. Well-- [ looking off for a brief moment. ] My face is hardly an issue. You know, I actually faced off a Simulacrum of myself rather recently, in a trial of Shar, and bested that pale copy rather handily- ... Karlach is an excellent warrior. I had full faith she would persevere and she has.

W1 - THURS

[ hi kate. ]

Did you, ah, have time to think it over?

[ gale is clearly a bit nervous, but you know, it seems appropriate. ]

Yes.

[ but while kate's expression is hard to read, she can see that he's nervous. ]

I did. Or, I thought I was quite certain - you see, I have, erm, very little way forward without the wish. I certainly don’t intend to partake of the Devil’s deals on offer in the cases, but I am in great need of something as powerful as a Wish spell.

Week 1, Sunday

It looks like it's over for now... but there's still too much that we don't know.

W2 - MONDAY

[ she gives a start at the terrifying, painful, abrupt end to that memory. ]

What was that... Magic?

[ he's standing there a little shell-shocked, actually, from the acuteness of the memory. one hand over the mark on his chest, fingers pressed in slightly, as if to relieve pain. ]

... In a sense. It is the origin of the mark - the explosive nature that I carry in my chest. It absorbs magic, though to call it magic itself-- it is not a magic I am entirely familiar with, but it must be of a kind.

Week 3, Friday

[ a little while after investigating, kate's changed into some clean clothes and can be found over by the pyre, looking at the posters, soot rising from her head. ]

So it's Marina and Tomizawa this time... I wonder if there will be a trial for Camille, too.

Marina and Tomizawa. And I expect they at least moved through the same places - there was a ribbon I believe I remember her wearing on Tuesday.

As for Camille, I do not know. Would you like there to be one?

... I don't know...

But I'd rather expose someone who acted through their own volition, than someone whose hand was forced.

W4 - MONDAY

[ gale is on the boardwalk most of the day, just strolling up and down it, clearly a bit lost in thought.

thoughts you can hear, apparently. `Now of course using it directly on a restoration to life would eliminate all possibility of accidentally perishing via misadventure in the very moments of return--` ]

[ kate just shows up behind him. today's fit. ]

[ his thoughts interrupt and then trail off. honestly he's always low-level thinking a constant stream of ... something. a motor-mouth in his own head. ]

Week 5, Monday

[ out at the new area! fit check. kate's at the tea garden, sitting and sipping on some tea. vibes are... a dark pit of misery and anxiety! but right now, she is also enjoying the nice tea and atmosphere. ]

... I'm glad things finally calmed down here.

[ after our monday mingle polycule chaos. ]

[ this really is all kate's vibe. gale is in his regular clothes so far, but that might change if a certain someone gets their way. his vibes are ... sad? they are sad. but he's doing his best to remain positive, with mixed success. ]

They did, though honestly I don't dislike a bit of chaos every now and then. Perhaps it breaks some of the tension.

Week 7, Tuesday

[ hanging around the morning after our town hall. ]

... It's not easy to find a way to make everyone happy, is it?

[ she's clearly still mulling all of our choices over. ]

No, but it hardly ever is.

[ rocks are difficult. ]

That said, I feel as if we will be doing quite a lot to go towards the attempt.
