Scien mentioned something about ... magically copying sets of memories, to perhaps combine them with the ones you have and the ones of the timeline we are heading to. A modified Soul Jar perhaps could do it, I don't think it would be too profoundly difficult. Or at least, not for me.
Since I am from the earliest point, perhaps my timeline could be used as a chance to correct any mistakes you think you may have made along the way? Foresight can be terribly useful.
You seem confident enough in the procedure as is, so I’m not overly concerned about it not working, but— perhaps it would be an idea to have a trigger or something. Once we confirm the memories are secured and active, they’re removed from the previous bodies.
[ it is… weird talking about it like this because he’s talking about this body right now, his body. ] I lose nothing by reverting memory wise to the point from which I was taken, provided my memories and I suppose I am safely active elsewhere. But I am not a fan of a version of me stuck out there with all the memories and none of the rewards.
[ gale's not wrong that his world is at a better time point to make a few changes, and then... well. the old him would still be free of cazador and helped by people he does trust somewhere deep down inside that broken little heart of his, at least.
ah. ]
I wonder if killing Cazador will be a little different now he won't be able to do a goddamn thing to me.
the only downside is gale is playing on tactician, so the fight might be harder. but it's fine. cazador wasn't that bad. the fucking house of grief on the other hand? ]
I know what happens there. Ketheric wasn't that hard to take out. [...] As long as it doesn't - you'd have to make sure I don't get put in my old body though. I don't want the engine again.

So… implanting our memories onto another version of ourselves?

That said I'm willing to undergo this myself, if either of you have a strong objection to ... not doing this.

And I don't care so much which one we decide on. Yours is fine. Gives me the chance to kill Gortash again.

no subject
yeah, that's - yeah. he hugs her, and she hugs him very, very tightly in return, burying her face in his hair. a beat, and then:]
Gods, we made it. [a little thickly.]
no subject
Despite everything, perhaps even much improved? That's a strange thing to contend with.
no subject
Honestly, all three of us. We're free, now, mostly. [she's not worried about the tadpoles.]
